SURPRISE..MYSTERY OR RISKY DECISION? - Sarah Palin to resign as Governer of Alaska .."keeping a eye on the Ball"...

(ktuu).Alaska -- Gov. Sarah Palin will resign her office in a few weeks, she said during a news conference at her home Friday morning.

Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell will be inaugurated at the Governor's Picnic at the end of the month, Palin said,Palin made the announcement flanked by Parnell and most, if not all, of her cabinet.

CNN reports:Palin said she feels she can be more effective when she's outside Government.

Palin:"We are not retreating - we are advancing in another direction."

OFA note : MYSTERY OR RISKY DECISION? If she is considering a '12 Presidential run , this could be from one side a smart and strategic move , where she quits out of the spotlight and takes herself personal privacy time where she will be able to put in all her effort to reshape her image,to learn the issues and get herself ready for National stage... and maybe this is a advantage as this is a difficult time for incumbents and being out office is could play out as a better position, (and giving the media a shock and being the only news in a Holiday weekend gives her exclusive coverage for 3 days until everything returns back to normal, analyzing and debating her decision can turn out to be a brilliant move), but from the other side this could be a risky decision as David Schuster said on MSNBC: “If she’s leaving the governorship before her first term is complete, her national political career is done, or as Ace writes “It’s over. You can’t resign from a governorship and then run for higher office", You dont quit from politics if you are tired from all whats going on and return Later on to take on a massive and bigger position that will not lower the attacks rather raise them, and the tone and environment she announced it raises some serious questions, what are her plans, what is her message ,and what is her strategy?

Or is it her decision to step out of Politics because she is sick and tired of all the trash that is being thrown on her from both sides, and she had enough of all of it, so why didn't she say it open and clear: i am done with it, i want to go back to my personal life , plus the timing is a shock and a mystery.
