(tpm).Obama's approval numbers remain high and that is to be expected. The American people are a fair lot and the average American clearly wants to give the new President a chance. But it does appear that the so called "Obamacans" (the republicans that switch party lines to vote for ObaMA), are beginning to desert him.
However the apparent victory of Republican Jim Tedisco signals that the Obamacans are returning to the fold. Tedisco has just taken the lead over Scott Murphy in a Republican leaning district in NEW YORK that voted Democrat in 2006 and 2008. This is a sign that the party is uniting against Obama and that the ever opportunistic Obamacans are preparing to get back on the GOP bandwagon in 2012. Mitt Romney would be their perfect candidate.
