AMERICANS WANT A PRESIDENT OF THE U.S.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that 35% of the nation's voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-two percent (32%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of +3, his lowest rating to date .

Overall, 56% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance so far. Forty-four percent (44%) disapprove. For more data, see Obama By the Numbers and recent demographic highlights. Ratings for Congress are up, but so is the number who say that most members of Congress are corrupt.

As the President meets with world leaders, most Americans believe the economy will be helped more by the decisions of U.S. business leaders to grow their own businesses than by the actions of world leaders on behalf of the global economy.
