Cantor on CNN: GOP will change its communicatian with the Youth voters as it learns from Obama

“President Obama is a great communicator. We understand that,” he said in an interview that aired on CNN’s State of the Union Sunday. “He’s also been very adept at adopting the technology of today to access the youth vote and the younger population of this country.

That’s the future, and I believe we’ve got a lot to learn. The Republican Party can’t keep doing things the way it always has in terms of technology.

Young (and even middle aged Repulicans like me) are following the issues and party policy online. The big difference in the R and D parties is the Ds pretend to ask and listen before they ask for action, (like a friend would). Make friends with the base, engage them and the future is yours. While a tweet and email and text isn't what most consider to many to be a "personal message" they do make us feel connected. Point is when I can't get my children to pick up the phone, they will answer a text.
