Obama tells Netanyahu he is anticipating his speech

Calm conversation or just Cool? Obama in oval office while talking on the Phone with Israeli PM Netanyahu

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke on the phone with US President Barack Obama on Monday. Netnayahu's office characterized the conversation as positive, and said the two leaders had touched on a number of issues.

Netanyahu also informed Obama of his planned policy speech next week Sunday in bar Ilan university where he will outline his Middle east Policy and respnd to Obama's Cairo speech,Obama said he was anticipating the address.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. President Barack Obama spoke by telephone a short while ago this evening. The conversation was positive and dealt with a number of issues. Prime Minister Netanyahu updated President Obama on his intention to deliver a diplomatic speech at the beginning of next week, in which he plans to outline his policy to achieve peace and security. President Obama said he is looking forward to hearing the speech,The two leaders agreed to continue maintaining open and continuous contact between them.

White house release:"The President and Prime Minister had a constructive, 20-minute conversation. The President reiterated the principal elements of his Cairo speech, including his commitment to Israel’s security. He indicated that he looked forward to hearing the Prime Minister’s upcoming speech outlining his views on peace and security. The President also noted that Senator Mitchell would be in Israel again tomorrow as he starts his fourth trip to the region as the Special Envoy for Middle East peace." (5:41 p.m.)
