President Obama will appear on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” this Thursday, the NY Times reports.
Obama is expected to speak on the economy, and according to a White House official, he will be "as funny as the times allow.
The Times notes that it's "rare to find a commander in chief appearing on TV shows except as joke fodder."
Obama will interviewed in front of a live studio audience, according to an NBC release, which notes that its "the first appearance of a sitting President on a late night talk show."
