2012 Marist poll: Crowded at the top - Romney Leads the Top Three

(Gop12).A new poll from Marist has the three front-runners, once again, bunched together in a hypothetical 2012 primary.

1. Mitt Romney 21%

2. Sarah Palin 20%

3. Mike Huckabee 19%

4. Newt Gingrich 10%

5. Bobby Jindal 5%

*Among women, Huckabee narrowly edges Palin (+1%) as the most popular candidate.

*Among men, Romney has an 11% lead on his closest foe, which also happens to be Palin.

*College graduates like Mitt (a +12% lead over Palin), while those who aren't college graduates prefer Huckabee (+1% over Palin).

*Those making over 50k prefer Romney (+11% over Palin), while Huckabee and Palin are tied among those making under 50k.
